Cancellation of WUTZROCK Festival due to acute health reasons!

We are not happy about this but we have to inform you: due to acute health reasons THE SPOOK is forced to cancel the show @ WUTZROCK Festival in Hamburg (GER) tonite. we already had packed the van and loaded the whole equipment and then we got the bad news from one member of the band:
Sciatica – he cannot move at all, so there is no option to get in the van, drive 5 hours and play the show... we are really really sorry!!

As quick as we got the news about supporting WEDNESDAY 13, we are now forced to inform you that THE SPOOK will NOT support W13 at ZECHE CARL in Essen (GER). Reason No.1 is: W13 already has some kinda support for the whole tour. We are sorry, but cannot help it. Cheers for fears!

Here is just a quick info about THE SPOOK supporting the US-Horrorrockers WEDNESDAY 13 during their European tour. THE SPOOK got the supporting slot for the ZECHE CARL in Essen (GER) on Sunday, May 25th. Be there and do the tango of the dead!
WUTZROCK Open Air confirmed today!

Today we got the official confirmation: THE SPOOK will play in Hamburg again this year. On Friday, AUG 29th the band will rock for light at the WUTZROCK Open Air. You will get more details and info on the festival's official website. But fact is: the open air is for free, so you all have to come in numbers! THE SPOOK also tries to get another show booked in northern Germany for the following day.

Starting in January 2008 THE SPOOK will be working with GO DOWN BELIEVING booking & management agency, based in Cologne (GER). They are in good company with such bands e.g. EKTOMORF, DEADSOIL, PRO-PAIN, CALLEJON, HATESPHERE, ILLDISPOSED, PRESIDENT EVIL, or JAYA THE CAT. The band is really looking forward to this new accomplishment.
BACK FROM TOURING : HEADING INTO WRITING & RECORDING

Right after coming back from a haunted and bizarre HELL NIGHTS tour the band is more productive then ever. New songwriting has already started for upcoming releases. THE SPOOK will also be part of the second Johnny Cash compilation „PAID IN BLACK“ Vol.2, which will be released through Wolverine Records this summer. The band is going to bring up a spooky and even more melancholy version of „Solitary Man“. Stay tuned for more info about this project. |
